A New Approach to Delivering Omni-Channel Retail Experiences

Customers’ expectations for convenience across every brand touchpoint have reshaped what a store needs to deliver. Shopping is now a blend of online and offline interactions, experience and commerce, marketing and media.

For Cartier, this shift created an opportunity to rethink how retail could create value for both the business and its clients. In partnership with Code and Theory, Cartier set out to reimagine its retail model and the connected experiences that support it.

Key Takeaways

01

A unified content and commerce strategy can make luxury retail feel seamless across channels.

02

Designing for human connection turns store visits into memorable brand moments.

03

Clear governance and shared standards help teams scale experiences without losing craft.

04

Iterating with real customer feedback keeps the experience relevant as needs evolve.

Turning Customer Insight into Retail Innovation

Cartier partnered with our team to rethink how content, commerce, and customer connections come together across its retail experience. The work focused on aligning storytelling with shopping moments, so customers could move naturally from inspiration to purchase.

Across key touchpoints, we helped Cartier clarify messaging, streamline pathways to product, and create a more consistent experience from store to digital. The result was a retail journey that better reflected the brand while supporting customers at every step.

Building Bridges for Collaboration at Cartier

Understanding that retail experience and the work to adapt to new client expectations will be driven by the frontline sales staff, we also set out to build ATLAS — a new tool to aid internal communications and knowledge sharing across Cartier's 270 global boutique network.

With multiple initiatives already launched, a new approach to infusing experience thinking into boutique renovation briefs, and a new retail focused app for the Cartier community, we are changing the culture within the organization.
