The new NY.gov
GovTech.com reported that before the redesign, the website "battled with juggling a multiplicity of citizen-focused interactions."
In an interview with Government Technology reporter Jason Shueh, New York State's deputy secretary for technology Rachel Haot offered up some of the most notable features and lessons learned from redesigning NY.gov in collaboration with Code and Theory.
Also included in the piece are some post-launch success metrics, including:
– Unique visits increased from 244,597 in 2013 to 605,063 in 2014.
– Page views saw a bump from 313,170 in 2013 to 1.1 million in 2014.
– Unique visits on governor.ny.gov increased from 213,963 to 347,023. Page views also rose by 17 percent, boosting from 471,414 in 2013 to 553,085, post launch.
