In the first of a two-part series on Code and Theory, Core77 reporter Kat Bauman spoke with our Head of Industrial Design Geoff Baldwin about the agency's approach to physical and digital design.

Bauman also touched on our most recent work for Outernet, the Chicago-based startup with a technology that would enable free access to Internet data to people in isolated areas of the world via satellites.

Code and Theory led the design, development of the portable satellite receiver, as well as the production of Outernet's launch video.

Part two of the Core77 series will focus on the inspiration behind the final satellite receiver design.
