Why The Internet Sucks and What To Do About It
Leaders from Code and Theory, Pereira O’Dell, Shutterstock, Digitas and WPP discussed how AI tools are changing the day-to-day process at creative businesses.
How is AI really shaking up the day-to-day workflow for strategists, creatives, and producers? Where is it working well, what frustrations or shortcomings are becoming apparent and what are we learning on live projects?
That was the focus of Little Black Book's beach-side panel "Meet Your M-AI-KER" at Cannes featuring Dan Gardner, co-founder at Code and Theory, PJ Pereira, founder, creative chairman at Pereira O’Dell, Drew Weigel, senior director, 3D and immersive at Shutterstock, Carren O’Keefe, chief creative officer at Digitas, and Priti Mhatre, managing director strategic consulting and AI at WPP and Hogarth.
Given Dan Gardner started Code and Theory more than 20 years ago and has seen countless technology trends come and go, his point of view on AI was notably critical. The day-to-day doesn't appeal to Dan. “We're all using the tool, because it's a better tool. And the tools are evolving,” he said. “But that is not what is interesting.” What is interesting to Dan is that “the internet sucks" and AI could help us all change that. Watch the video to hear the rest of Dan's take on AI and the future of the internet.
