Director, Technology - Enterprise Platforms Delivery (US)

We are looking for a seasoned technology leader to help run the variety of projects under the Adobe practice of Enterprise Platforms discipline. The leader will manage and grow multiple teams working on the projects, own the delivery excellence and client success in the Adobe ecosystem including AEP, AEM, EDS, Workfront, Fusion etc.
This is a leadership role that blends strategic mindset, technology depth, project operational rigor and people leadership.
Our engineers are AI native and engage in and advance the state of the art in the practice of software development with AI.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Establish delivery standards, governance models, and best practices
- Build and grow strategic partnerships within the Adobe ecosystem in the company
- Bring a strong sense of Engineering Excellence and high standards for all software being delivered and configured in your teams
- Own end-to-end program delivery across complex, multi-region Adobe engagements
- Ensure predictable, high-quality, on-time and on-budget execution
- Establish scalable delivery models across global teams
- Manage utilization, margins and operational efficiency
- Be a part of technical solutioning for enterprise RFPs and strategic deals
- Work with sales and client partners on deal strategy
- Translate business problems into scalable Adobe-based architectures
- Deep understanding of Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Experience Manager (AEM Sites, Assets, Forms, Headless), Adobe Workfront, Adobe Fusion, Adobe Analytics, Target, Campaign, Journey Optimizer
- Guide architecture reviews and ensure scalable, secure, enterprise-grade implementations
- Ensure alignment with modern architecture patterns (API-first, composable, cloud-native)
- Manage global teams of engineers
- Own all aspects of performance management and compensation management of your teams
- Hire, mentor, and grow developers and solution architects
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Use AI tools like Claude, Cursor, V0/Vercel to build AI enabled workflows, agents, skills, tools and automation for strong operational efficiencies, automation and intelligent tracking
- Build innovative solutions and mindset in the team to use AI tools to the maximum to foster innovation in product development and engineering delivery
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Around 18 years of Technology experience, including a minimum of 5+ years in a Senior Engineering Management role, leading teams of teams
- Strong Experience in managing global teams in India, US, LATAM
- Experience managing other managers and multiple teams
- Deep expertise in the Adobe product ecosystem, including AEM, AEP, Workfront, Fusion, Analytics etc
- Experienced in hands-on development and coding with different technology stacks, including Typescript, NextJS, Python, Java
- Strong experience in Enterprise architecture, Digital transformation programs, Marketing technology implementations
- Strong experience working with content, web and data management systems
- Proven experience leading large global technology delivery programs
- Hands-on experience in system design and architecture, including leading technical discussions, evaluating trade-offs, and making informed architectural decisions
- Experience working in modern engineering environments, embracing iterative delivery, continuous experimentation, rapid feedback loops, and outcome-driven execution
- Experience with solutioning & pre-sales engagements
- Experience with executive stakeholder management
- Strong commercial acumen and experience
- Experience working with global enterprise clients across US/EU/APAC
- Demonstrated past experience in directly managing teams of managers, engineers. Demonstrable strong people management skills, including performance reviews, compensation management.

- Active involvement in system design, architecture reviews, coding, code reviews, release management, and operational excellence.
- Experience establishing engineering standards, development workflows, and best practices that improve team effectiveness and software quality.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to thrive in rapidly evolving technology environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in AI-assisted software development is mandatory.
- Extensive hands-on experience using AI engineering tools such as Claude, Cursor, V0 or equivalent platforms to accelerate software delivery, architecture design, debugging, code reviews, testing, documentation, and developer productivity.
- Experience developing agents, sub-agents, workflow orchestration and automation with agents.
- Proven ability to effectively integrate Agentic Engineering into day-to-day engineering workflows and establish best practices for AI-enhanced processes across teams.
- Experience evaluating, adopting, and driving emerging AI technologies and engineering practices within an organization.
- Ability to mentor engineers on AI-native development approaches and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
NICE TO HAVE
- Major Advantage if you have solution architect certifications and multi-solution architecture experience
- Familiarity with modern engineering productivity, collaboration, and delivery platforms such as Jira, Linear, DevOps, or similar tools
- Experience managing distributed teams and collaborating effectively with stakeholders across global regions, particularly North America
- Experience driving platform modernization or large-scale digital transformation initiatives

The base compensation range for this role is $175,000 – $225,000 and spans multiple levels. We're open to hiring at the level that best matches the right candidate's experience. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, budget, and location.
