Copywriter
At Code and Theory, Copywriters craft ideas and language that shape how brands connect with audiences across digital platforms. You’ll concept, write, and collaborate closely with art directors, strategists, and technologists to deliver smart, engaging, and culturally relevant work. This mid-level role is about honing your voice as a writer while building versatility across mediums—from brand storytelling to integrated campaigns to product copy.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop and execute creative ideas for integrated campaigns, ensuring they’re on-brief and strategically sound
- Write compelling narratives that define conceptual territories in distinct brand voices
- Help shape and adapt tone of voice guidelines across touchpoints
- Write scripts for video, social, and branded content, bringing stories to life through dialogue, VO, and supers
- Contribute ideas and rationales for product, feature, and campaign names that balance creativity with strategy
- Translate big campaign ideas into nuanced executions across digital, social, experiential, and product
- Clearly articulate ideas in decks, ensuring persuasive and engaging storytelling for clients
- Participate in client presentations and internal reviews, presenting work with clarity and confidence
- Collaborate closely with art directors, designers, and strategists to ensure cohesive creative output
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Professional copywriting experience, preferably at an agency or creative studio
- A portfolio showcasing strong conceptual thinking and crafted writing across digital campaigns, brand storytelling, and product experiences
- Ability to adapt voice and tone across a wide range of brands and platforms
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Comfortable juggling multiple assignments under deadlines with attention to detail
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and AI with curiosity about how they shape storytelling
- Experience with fast-paced and agile production for an evolving social landscape

This is a full-time role, based in the United States. The target range of base compensation for this role is $70,000 - $80,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience and location.
