  • 5+ years of full stack web development
  • 3+ years of experience as Technical Director or Team Leader
  • Prior agency experience
  • You have experience leading development teams, you know SCRUM and know how to run code reviews
  • You can look at wireframes or designs and breakdown tasks and create timelines and project backlogs
  • You can architect highly scalable and maintainable web applications, and recommend hosting configurations (cloud or dedicated)
  • You know your way around console, and the command line
  • You are comfortable working with multiple 3rd party vendors for integration and support
  • Experience with Wordpress, Drupal, and other open source content management platforms
  • Extensive experience managing GIT (or SVN)
  • You work with JIRA, Youtrack or Mantis on a daily basis
  • You’re intimately familiar with HTML, CSS and jQuery and follow their evolution
  • Experience with some advanced JS frameworks (Angular.js, Backbone.js, etc.) as well as CSS pre-processors (Sass, Less) and task runners (Grunt, Gulp)
  • You have experience with multi-tier caching, and have worked with systems like varnish, memcache, redis, etc.
  • You have worked with the Facebook platform and other popular web service APIs
  • You’re used to participating in the requirements-gathering process for new projects
  • You’re passionate about learning more, and are excited to collaborate with other team members across UX, Visual Design and Engineering
  • You’ll actively participate in the evolution of our technologies and technology practices, occasionally pitch new technologies that you believe in, and participate in workshops to learn new skills



  • B.S/M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience with very high traffic sites, on the order of a million users per day
  • Mobile development - Titanium, PhoneGap, Objective-C, Java
  • E-commerce – Magento, Demandware are a plus
  • Previous participation in TDD and BDD
  • Experience with ads and analytics: AdSense, DoubleClick, Omniture, Google Analytics
