The Role:
The Senior Experiential Designer is multidisciplinary thinker and creator, operating at the frontier of an emerging field. They are responsible for the development and execution of creative concepts and ideas for a wide variety of connected experiences and brand activations, including but not limited to permanent architectural installations, retail environments, and pop-up events.

We don’t see a divide between real and virtual spaces. A key part of this role is integrating digital technology and content into physical spaces in order to create interactive, immersive, and content-rich experiences. Our connected spaces include interactive touchpoints, custom displays, mobile apps, and web sites that support and augment physical build-outs and events with meaningful content and digital experiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the interdisciplinary team of strategists, designers, technologists and creatives to explore, refine, and select a creative direction for each project
  • Generate ranges of concepts, from grand vision to practical execution, and participate in overall project ideation
  • Understand the role of content and identify the best ways to bring content into an experience
  • Advocate for the emotional experience created by physical spaces, within a digital-native team
  • Lead visualization of concepts by creating high-fidelity 3D renderings (Cinema 4D preferred)
  • Develop concepts for execution, with immaculate attention to detail
  • Create design briefs for fabrication/install partners, including technical drawings, floor plans, and elevations
  • Manage relationships and communication with a variety of fabricators and vendors, from obtaining quotes to conducting QC during delivery
  • Create on-site installation plans, working with producers, vendors, and site managers
  • Oversee on-site installation, when appropriate
  • Contribute to new project proposals, working with the design director and production to generate realistic project timelines and production plans

Requirements:
  • 4 years of experiential design experience
  • 2 years of agency experience and can demonstrate an understanding of clients’ business needs/constraints (marketing, branding, budgeting, etc.)

Design:
  • Excellent intuition for spatial layout, user flow and movement, proportion and scale
  • Demonstrated ability to bring brands and messages to life in immersive physical environments
  • Advanced understanding of fabrication and installation techniques and timelines
