The Role
At Code and Theory, our Junior Copywriters write smart, compelling copy across all digital touch points and social channels. They are responsible for concepting ideas collaboratively with a Junior Designer, and presenting them internally to the larger team. This person will report directly to the Senior Copywriter and Associate Creative Director.

Typically, Junior Copywriters at Code and Theory are involved in the following activities:

  • Concepting campaign ideas and tactical executions of the big idea.
  • Presenting copy and idea write-ups to senior-level creatives, strategists and the account team.
  • Writing inspiring, courageous brand manifestos and social personas to establish tone and sell work.
  • Identifying adaptive opportunities and trending topics on social.
  • Assisting with new business pitches and other accounts outside of the day-to-day work if necessary.
  • Managing a handful of projects on any given day, across multiple accounts. 

  • 1-3 years in a digital agency or a college degree in an advertising program.
  • A portfolio that shows the ability to think creatively and write effectively.
  • A passion for writing outside of advertising. 
  • Knowledge of social and digital trends.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • A deep understanding of social media.
  • A positive attitude and hunger to refine your craft.
  • Team mentality is a must!
