Code and Theory
Owned by Stagwell Group, Code and Theory made a big impression in 2020 with the high-profile appointment of its first chief creative officer, Amy Carvajal, previously executive creative director at Wunderman Thompson. Its challenge was then to build on the capture of the Xerox account early in 2020.
Code and Theory achieved this with solid wins in the shape of energy company Con Edison and the Washington Football Team, which selected the agency ahead of a rebranding, including selecting a permanent team name.
Shortlisted for Campaign US’s Digital Innovation Agency of the Year, in January Code and Theory made a significant acquisition, buying digital shop Kettle to boost content production and e-commerce resources.
