Code and Theory Work Recognized in 19th Annual Webby Awards

NEW YORK, SAN FRANCISCO — Code and Theory’s work with the Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Travel, Visit California, New York State, Bloomberg, Rockwell Group, and the BURGER KING® brand has been recognized across twelve categories for a total of five Nominations and seven Official Honoree designations in the 19th Annual Webby Awards:

LATIMES.COM

The new latimes.com was nominated alongside websites like Virgin America and Cool Hunting in the "Best User Experience" category, and is also up for "Best News Site for Mobile" alongside competitors like Buzzfeed and Mashable. It was also listed as an Official Honoree in the "Best News Site" category.

VISIT CALIFORNIA

The new visitcalifornia.com, which launched in January 2015 and is the embodiment of Visit California’s “Dream Big” brand marketing platform, was nominated for "Best Association Website."

SAN FRANCISCO TRAVEL Association

The San Francisco Travel Association's new website, which launched in October 2014, is also a Nominee in the "Best Association Website" category.

Code and Theory's own website is up for "Best Professional Services Website" alongside competitors like Freelancer.com and PWC's "Extraordinary Challenges" website.

The agency also received "Official Honoree" designations for the following projects and campaigns:

NY.GOV

The new NY.gov, which launched in November 2014 and provides a best-in-class digital experiences for New York State's diverse citizens, was named an Official Honoree in the "Best Government Website" category.

Bloomberg Business

Launched in January 2015, Bloomberg Business was the first-ever flagship destination for everything within the Bloomberg media universe. The site was recognized as an Official Honoree in three categories: "Best News Website," "Best Navigation" and "Best Visual Design (Aesthetic)."

Rockwell Group

Rockwell Group, one of the most influential architectural design groups in the world, unveiled its new visually-immersive website in November 2014. The flexible, dynamic homepage earned it an Official Honoree nod in the "Best Home Page / Welcome Page" category.

Burger King: "Chicken Fries Are Back"

The digital-first campaign to bring back Burger King's beloved Chicken Fries helped the brand turn millennials into brand ambassadors and contributed to one of Burger King's biggest sales months in years. It was listed as an Official Honoree in the "Interactive Advertising: Viral Marketing" category.
